Subtitles of the Movie

In this movie I want to walk you through creating a CSS file copy. That way you don't have to worry about errors. You can just make a copy of that whole folder, that way you have backup, but why not make your own CSS file? Let's say template.css I want to make a lot of changes to that but I want to make my own custom template.css so I'm going to copy it and I'm going to call it custom underscore template.css. What I have to do then is go in there, of course and make my editing changes. I can upload this to my Joomla back end, or I can just open it up in here and make the changes that I want to. If I want my font size to be size 14, easier for people to read, maybe I want to change the color. I can go in here and change, again, my text decoration. We went through this file, but what I can do now is go through here and make numerous changes to whatever it is I want and upload it in just one quick upload. So I can go through here, make all these changes and I would save that file and go ahead and upload it. Then in order to make your Joomla site refer to that template we need to go open up index.php, type in custom underscore template.css where it's referring to that style sheet, save it, upload it into my main directory there and then I've got it going. You can also do this with the blue and the other color parameter templates if you'd like to, or the background ones. It just depends on your comfort level. Sometimes it's easier just to start out, make a brand new CSS, change your index.php and go from there. Other times I just make copies of the files and keep them. If I'm not making a lot of changes, typically I'll just make a quick copy and leave a lot of it named the same. If I'm in a really customized, change a lot of the graphics and a lot of the CSS then I probably will go ahead and make my own custom css file and change the index.php. But it works any way you want it to. It'll happen. Take a minute, think about that. If you're ready to really take off and start customizing you may just want to make the CSS files separate, that way you know that those are your changes later on and you don't have to keep a backup copy of that other one, you'll have the other one there. Then you can just, if you need to switch to it really quickly, the original CSS file, you can go in, open up index.php and change this very quickly.
