Now finally if I want to edit my form or if I want to make changes to it, I can't edit it inside Acrobat. In other words I can't use Acrobat's Form Editing Commands to adjust or edit a LiveCycle Form. If you know about creating forms inside Acrobat and editing forms and so on you know that you can go to the Forms Menu here and then down to Start Form Wizard and then I could say an Existing Electronic Document and I'll click on Next here and I want to use the current document and I'll click on Next again and I get this warning here. "You can not edit this file as a form due to its security settings." Well what the heck, so I'll click on OK and I think to myself well I just want to make a graphical change or I just want to add in an extra field or something like this right? What you have to do is you have to head back up to the Forms Menu and then down to Edit Form in Designer. So I'll go and choose this and it says, "This Form will be edited in LiveCycle Designer." The form that is currently open in Acrobat will close, then LiveCycle will launch and the form will open in it. Well that's great OK. OK, I'll click on OK here. LiveCycle is going to launch for us here and I get this warning here. "Some Usage Rights haven't applied to the form you want to open, opening the form will remove those rights, do I want to continue?" I'm going to say yes and I get the form open inside LiveCycle and of course I can go and make whatever changes I want, everything in here is fully editable, I can pop open my Object Panel and make whatever adjustments I want to any object that I have. But that warning about Usage Rights, that means that back in Acrobat I'm going to have to make sure that I allow the Usage Rights, in other words the Reader Rights so that the Users of the Free Acrobat Reader can save the form. You saw that a little while back. So anyway there you go, there's editing your LiveCycle Forms.
