Now the next kind of Form Object that I want to create here with you is called the List Box and it serves sort of the same purpose as a Drop-down List where the user's going to have a list of items that they can choose from except this time it's going to occupy a rectangular space on screen with a provided Scroll Bar, if that makes sense. I'm sure you've seen this in your travels at least, and if you're really not sure what I'm talking about then we'll definitely create this together and you'll see how this works here. So, inside my Object Library what I'm going to do is I'm going to go and find my List Box Object, there he is, drag and drop him onto my Form and then let's head to our Layout Panel and go and set up this guy's options. So, his X value, or his X position is going to be 5.5; his Y value is going to be 7.625; his Width is going to be 2.45; and his Height is going to be 1.25. OK, wonderful. Now, let's see a few other options here. I want to set his Caption position to Top, so just double check that his Caption position is set to Top, it should be the Default; and I also want to set that Reserve spacing to 0.2, and I'll hit Enter there. And now what I'll do is I'll just zoom out a little bit on my Form and sure enough, there's my List Box way down toward the bottom, right in there. OK, now let's go and set up our options for our List Box, so namely we'll give this guy a Caption and we'll also give him a Name. So as always, back to the Field tab inside the Object Panel and this guy's Caption is going to be the following: How badly is the product damaged? OK, and then over to the Binding tab and let's give this guy a name rather than the Default there, ListBox1, I'm going to call this ProductDamage. OK, and then back to the Field tab, and in a very similar way to setting up our Drop-down List, when we go and set up a List Box inside the Field tab we'll have our List Items area, so once again what I'll do is I'll double-click in there and I'll start adding in my entries. So the first entry's going to be: The product is not damaged Ð Enter; The product has minimal damage Ð Enter again; The product has partial damage Ð Enter again; The product has major damage, and I just realized that I didn't capitalize my T there Ð I'm just going to double-click back on that previous entry, you can always go and correct your entries if you need to, and I'll go and continue adding on my additional Items here: The product has been vaporized. There we are. Wonderful. Alright, now let's go and see how this guy's going to work over inside Acrobat, so we'll go and Preview this guy for you, so as always we'll save him up here and we'll head back over to Acrobat and we'll go and open this fella up: MyForm.pdf. OK. So, this is how the List Form is intended to behave. Now if we had more items inside our List Box we'd actually have a Scroll Bar here over on the right-hand side. So if you'd like to you can head back to LiveCycle, add on a few more Items, maybe you'd like to add in that Choose One option as well if you like, and then come back into Acrobat here and Preview and you'll have this little Scroll Bar in there, which is really neat. And don't forget, just like your Drop-down Lists back inside LiveCycle we can always grab this Object here, our List Box, go into the Value area and then specify our Default option. So if you wanted to do that Choose One option you certainly could do that, and then also, just like the List Box, you can go into your Binding tab and then specify some custom values there if you wish. That's entirely up to you. Alright, so there's a look at creating our List Boxes inside LiveCycle.
