Tools II / Snap to Point and Object
Subtitles of the Movie
In Freehand we can also move objects using the snap to commands in our toolbar; we have 2 of them. We have snap to point, which causes an object to jump on to the point of another object. Go ahead and simply click that to turn it on and use your pointer tool and we are going to move this triangle to a point of the other triangle. And notice that it's going to create a circle when we hit that point. Ok I'll move it up to this point and there we have a circle and we have lined it with that point. Now we also have another choice, we can snap to turn that off. We are going to snap to an object, using this command will cause our object to jump on to the point or line segment of another. Now say if I want to line up anywhere along this line, see I am getting this circle here where we want that to line up. So I will click and drag and notice we have the line. So I can move this anywhere along this line segment to line that object up.
