Let's take a look at the ellipse tool, which draws ellipses and circles. Go ahead and select the tool and I'll just draw a few circles and ellipses here. Just click and drag and you have your circle or ellipse. Now I'll get rid of these, clean up the artwork a little bit. Ok now if I hold the Shift key down I can draw a perfect circle. Now if I hold the space key down while I move the circle without letting go of the mouse, I can move that circle as I draw and position it exactly where I would like it. We also have 2 choices in how we can draw the circle. I can just click and drag, the circle will be drawn from a corner or edge. And if I hold the alt key down the circle will be drawn from the center outward. Again I can draw an ellipse and if I hit the Shift key it will turn into a perfect circle on the way out.
