Tools / Arc
Subtitles of the Movie
Let's go ahead and take a look at the arc tool. We'll select that and the arc tool allows you to, simply as the name applies, draw arcs. First I am going to move this artwork out of the way so we have some room to play up top. And I am going to move this circle back up here so you can see how the arc shapes and the settings relate to the circle. And we have 3 choices: you can select create an open arc, create a flipped arc, and create a concave arc. In this case I am not going to select anything and we are going to draw some arcs. Just click and drag and you can see it's basically a slice of a pie; very handy tool for drawing parts of pie charts. And you see no matter what I do everything is basically in one direction, one of 2 directions. Now if I create an open arc, again the name applies, it's an open arc much like ripples in a pond or just if you like to draw curves. Go back and double click the arc tool, and I am going to create a flipped arc, which going back to the closed arc is the opposite direction of the arcs we drew earlier. Now turnoff that feature and go ahead and draw a concave arc, see what those look like. Double click and let's go ahead and flip that and there you go.
