Tools / Pen
Subtitles of the Movie
The next tool we are going to take a look at is the pen tool. Now in the pen tool you have choice between the pen tool and the bezigon tool. We will cover the bezigon tool in the next installment, first lets take a look at the pen tool. The pen tool allows you to create a line or a series of lines by connecting points. With the pen tool you can actually see the line and curves as you draw them. Now I am going to create a Piccaso knockoff and click the point and then I hold and drag and I can create little curves, like so. And you just keep going, draw, move to the next point and click, drag a curve, move to the next point and click, create another little curve. And we will go ahead and close off this face. There is 2 ways you can do this. You can click the beginning point; it's now a closed art object. Or in this case when I draw a ear, what we are going to do is just double click the last point and I have an open endpoint. I'll do that again by drawing a little ridge inside the ear, little curve, click and then double click to create the endpoint. Again have patience with the pen tool. It is one of the most difficult to work with and takes some time to get some mastery, especially working with curves.
