When you are working with text, sometimes you need to actually make edits to the text that the attributes simply will not let you do. This goes over to the realm of creating custom text. Now the way to do that is to convert your text into paths- essentially shapes, rather than text. So, let's select the text that we want to work with. I can do this with the selection tool, or I can just highlight in case I want to work with the ee's. I select our text, go to Text, convert to paths. Now we have a group of shapes. In order to work with those separately, what we need to do is ungroup those; and now we have a series of shapes with points that we can adjust and manipulate how we would like. We even have handles, bezier handles that we can adjust the shape of curves.
