The fractal command allows you to create basically a kaleidoscope effect out of an object. That is pretty simple to do that. In this case stars typically work best when you are working with fractals to get the kaleidoscope effect. Now select the object. Make sure that the even odd fill is selected and I will show you in a little bit what happens if that's not selected. Go up to Extras, Distort, Fractalize. We are starting to get a kaleidoscope effect. Again you can just pile these on top of each other and keep going until you get the effect you like. Now I'm going to back this up, going to take off our stroke, select the object, turn off the even odd fill. And we will start over again and then you see what happens. We just kind of have a blob of color. And then you can see where the paths intersect doesn't do you any good. So make sure when you work with fractalize that the even odd fill is turned on.
