You can also add some interesting graphics to your chart and these are called pictographs. Picto for picture, graph for graph. In order to do this you need to create some objects, I created 3 little stars. And what I want to do is put them as the fill for this particular bar, so I am going to select these objects. You need to copy them first. Go up to the Extras menu, select Chart, Pictograph, oh, we need to actually select the object which we want to work with. Ok, let's go ahead and do that. Using your Subselect tool, select the bar, go up to Extras, Chart, Pictograph, paste in. Now I am pasting in the objects but by default it selects repeating. I will show you what that looks like. Simply click OK. There we go, this repeats those graphic elements. Now I'm going to undo that and we will take a look at what it looks like. Paste it in again, turn off repeating and then our work just shows up one time constrained to the proportions of that graph. So that is how you can create pictographs and apply some pretty neat effects to your charts.
