Before you install Fireworks on your computer, you need to make sure that it is equipped to handle the application. The following hardware and software is required. If you are running Microsoft Windows you need a 300MHz Intel Pentium 2 processor or better. You also need windows 98SE, ME, NT 4.0, windows 2000 or XP. You will also need 64 megabytes of RAM; however, 128 megabytes is highly recommend. You will also need at least 80 megabytes of available disk space. Your computer should be setup to see at 800x600 pixels resolution with at least 256 colors although 16-bit is highly recommended. You will also need Adobe type manager version 4.0 or later to use with the type one fonts. And you will also need a CD-ROM drive. For a Macintosh system you will need a power Macintosh G3 processor or better, running 0S 9.1 or later or OS 10/10.1 or later. You will also need 64 megabytes of available RAM, however, 128 megabytes is highly recommended. Plus you will need 80 megabytes of available disk space. Once again you will need 800x600 minimum pixel resolution, 256 colors or better.
