You may recall earlier in this chapter that we used find and replace to change the rocket manufacture from Phoenix Rockets to Firebird Rockets by manually selecting each of the files. In this tutorial, you will see how to use find and replace in conjunction with the project log. All the assets for this tutorial can be found in the folder project log inside the chapter 4 folder. I will stop by showing the project log. Next, I will add some files. Now, I will switch to the tab find and replace. This time rather than selecting search files from the pop-up, I will choose the search project log. To save sometime, I have previously added the find and change to text. Therefore, I will click the button replace all. I will click Okay and now I re-select the project tab. As you can see two new entries have been added to the project log. This includes the file name, the frame number, and date and time of the modification took place. Clicking the button open lets you see the latest version of that file. Using the log, I can specify which files I wish to batch process. Again, I will stop by adding some files. Notice that I can select files from multiple locations. Now, I will select all the files I wish to batch process. Next, I will choose my command export with picture frame from the dialog box fast process. I will make sure the pop-up grids project log selected files. I will click Okay. Once the file has been exported, you may also wish to export it again and this can be achieved by selecting that item in the project log and then choosing the option export again from the panel menu. There may be certain occasions where you want to keep a hard copy of your project log. The latest version of the log is stored in your Fireworks 4 folder.
