Before you can use Contribute2 you actually need to have the application installed on your computer and there are two ways to do this. First if you have the CD or the media as they call it from Macromedia you can use that to install the software or what is probably most common is to download the trial version from Macromedia's web site and install that. Now the trial version is only good for thirty days, you can also buy one directly at the same time if you like or you can use trial version for thirty days that is a fully functioning version of Contribute2 and if you like it, it gives you directions and how to buy it. Now either way once you get that installation file on your computer installation of Contribute2 is the same whether it is from your CD or the internet. Let's take a look at how we can do this from the internet. Open up your browser and we will go to Macromedia.com and then once we get there we want go to the download section and there as the list populates we want to go down to Contribute2 is not quite in alphabetical order, so we want to click the try button and you will need to register with Macromedia to download the software, it is a very simple process. Once you have entered your member name you can go ahead and select your operating system, Macintosh or Windows, I am going to be running Windows and will hit the download button. But let us be safe and save the file, I am just going to save this on the desktop and will come back once it is downloaded to the computer. OK through the miracle of time-lapse, computer videography we now have Contribute installer located on my computer. So go ahead and double click the icon and what this is going to do is install Contribute. Simply you follow the directions get the license agreement click yes. In our case we are going to need the pay pal E-commerce tool kit so go ahead and select that and what I am going to do is move this to another directory, because I already have a version of Contribute installed on my computer, and let us just create a new one here actually we just do this on the desktop for demonstration purposes again let it select the default folder destination folder on your computer. it is fine click next and this is going to take you through the installation process and I will go ahead and pause again and will come back when this is just about ready to be installed. The install shield wizard is now finished you can go ahead and select or deselect the quick launch desktop shortcut Macromedia Contribute. Ok and this case I am going to turn these off and you have now completed loading Contribute2 on your computer. ]
