Connections / Shared Site Connections

Subtitles of the Movie

Let us say you are working in a group environment and now that you have taken the bold step forward and actually connected to the web site and everyone is asking Bob how did you do that, how did you do that, well you can tell them how to do it or to make life very easy for them, you can share the connection that you created. And Contribute allows you to do this through the connection key. Now when you have created a connection that is stored on your hard drive like we have one here first created works web site and what I want to do is share that with another user. Now here is I am going to do that, I will go up to the edit menu select administrator web site and this gives me two websites that we have recently looked at this case a tutorial and creativeworks, select creativeworks and I am going to enter the administrator password and then I get the administrator website window. Now we are going to go down to the send connection key click that and yes I would like to sent my current connection settings to somebody and I am going to include my FTP login and password information, because they do not have their own separate identity when it comes to the FTP client. Now if you are sending it to a group of people each whom have their own FTP, username and password then you do not want to include this. But in this case I am going to sent it and if I select no what I want to do then I am going to sent them the basic connection settings but I want to modify that along the way. Now in this case we are just going to sent them connection as is and I am going to include the FTP login and password information, select next and what this is going to do is connect to the server. Now for those who are using a Macintosh what you are going to see is the export assistant which functions basically the same way as the export wizard in windows. Now I want to sent this to the users what I want to do is sent this via email and what you need to do to encrypt this information is create a password or pass phrase that is going to be used in the encryption key and let's have some fun here called VTC is awesome, type it in again VTC is awesome click the next button verify the settings that we are going to be sending looks good to me click the done button and what Contribute do is open up your email client and in this case it is outlook and here is the attachment of the connection key, and we are going to sent this to a user and just type in there email address and sent the file and you are good to go. They will then import the connection settings and be able to connect the same way you are. ]
