Next we'll create the style sheet for our "Where's Tom" application. With the file open and we've got index.cfm open, open the design panel and make sure the CSS styles tab is selected. Click the + icon to create a new style. Since we're creating the style sheet that every page in that application will use, We'll set the base font style first. Select tag and then body from the list of html tags. Leave the define in option set to new style sheet file and click OK. Name the style sheet wherestom and save it in the root directory. Next you'll see a dialog box with options for the style. For the "Where's Tom" application we'll set our font to the Verdana, Arial, Helvetica family. It'll have a size in pixels of 10, a style of normal. A line height of 15 pixels and a weight of normal. Click OK and the first style for the style sheet is set. Now we'll edit the style sheet directly to add a couple of things to the main font tag. In the design panel you'll see the style sheet listed. If the style sheet is not already open, double click on the name of the file to open it in the code editing window. To the body style add a comma and 'td' for table data and 'th' for table header and save the file. We have several other styles in the "Where's Tom" application but we won't need to add them until later in the process. The final step for preparing to develop is to set up the asset library, which is populated with images from the default image directory as well as other media files if you have them. Select the site menu and click manage sites. Select the wherestom site and click edit. Select the advanced tab if it is not showing and enter the address of the images subdirectory we created earlier. We'll use this folder to confirm that it is pointing to the right directory. Click OK and then done. As images are created and saved in this folder, they will display in the assets tab of the files panel. This is a great easy way to manage the images and other media files associated with your application. If we copy an existing image, into this images directory, and then refresh our asset panel, we'll see a preview of the image that's available and the name of the image file listed in the second window. This allows us to drag and drop a reference to this image into any of our files. dow. This allows us to drag and drop a reference to this image into any of our files.
