So what should you know and what is covered on the CD? What's covered on the CD are basic Cold Fusion tags and functions. We will not be doing any WDDX Java script objects, we won't be creating any Cold Fusion tags, we wont be doing any Cold Fusion script. We won't be doing any Cold Fusion server administrating, although we will mention a couple of things, but we won't get to the administrator. There's not enough time, there is a lot to cover with just basic Cold Fusion tags and functions. What should you know? What would be helpful for you to know? Well basic HTML would be good to know - you know p tags, tables, forms, concepts about creating a web page, creating a good looking web page. The concepts of http requests and what's involved in that. Good web knowledge is helpful, access knowledge is helpful, we will be using an access database, we will be making queries. We will be making queries first by using the builder here, looking at the SQL - SQL is very important to know. Even lately, SQL is a very easy language but you know minimal SQL is important because just about everything that you do will be pulling data from a database. Knowing Perl - a little bit of PERL is good, not so much because we are going to be using any Perl, but because the concepts of Perl involve concepts about programming and logic flow, and that's very helpful. So coming from a background of any programming language really, but knowing a little bit of Perl is always good - even though its not involved in Cold Fusion. Knowing a little bit about design, graphics, as we will be touching on just about everything. Design standards, usability standards, and a willingness to learn definitely. And I believe that you already have that, which is why you are here. So, let's move on to additional resources where you can get technical support and we will shove off.
