While you're learning Modo through my smooth radio-like woodland elf voice, you might want to learn more things on your own, so let me show you where the Quick Tips are located, so you're noticing there are other people at the Luxology website from time to time. Just go to the File Menu and choose Modo Quick Tips. This window opens up and of course you can move it around and you can find out more on your own when you have some spare time, so if you want to learn the new features, like getting around the 401 layout, or working with the new fur, basic rigging animation, if you want to see what's completely new in this version or of you want to get some new assets, materials and all kinds of cool things you can go to the Portal. And if you want to watch other tutorials, visit Luxology TV. Let's take a look at some of these right now. I'm going to click on one, Getting Around 401 and as you can see it opens up this window. I'm on the Luxology website, so if you don't have Internet access this might not be very beneficial to you. When you go to the Luxology website you can either watch the videos by clicking on them or you can view them in a new window if you want to. If you prefer to download it and save it and watch it any time you want to, just right-click and Save As. Let's go back to Modo so we can learn about Fur and another window opens up and you can just scroll down and see what he's talking about. So here's Working with Fur. And it also tells you the experience level, so this is Beginner. And Luxology TV, you'll find some training videos here and these are all free, so once again, after listening to my smooth voice you can come over here and check out some stuff. I'm just having fun today right now. And also, one of the things that I think is very, very helpful is the Asset Portal. I love these assets; they're awesome. These are presets that you can install and get some extra functionality with using Modo. So you have some Fur, you have some Materials and so on. Now there is a video - let me see if I can find it very quickly, let me see where it is - that tells you exactly where to place those assets. Here we go. So, I'm on Luxology TV Main area, so I'll just go to Community, Luxology TV, or just click on that little Assets Portal thing here, or visit Luxology TV. And on the Luxology TV section of the website scroll down and go to where it says Asset Downloads. This is a very important video to watch and the reason I'm not going to do another one is because it's already here. There's no reason to redo what they have. This will tell you where to put the assets that you download on your computer, whether you're on a Windows PC or a Macintosh. It's very important to watch that and once you get used to doing it you'll want to download more and more assets. They're really cool and they can really give you some very nice results very quickly.
