Working with Media / Working with Colors
Subtitles of the Movie
OK. Let's go ahead and open up our colors. Here is some of the colors that we have previously been working with. And you could see the colors are black until I move the slider all the way up. This is the color wheel. You can select any color on the color wheel, and I could control the opacity: how invisible or visible that color is, and that's good for layering objects. I'm going to select some text, choose a color. And what we're going to do is, drag and drop the color on to the text. Now, the next method is showing the sliders, the different types of sliders that are involved here. And you have your Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. And that's all in percentages, from zero to 100 % and if you have a 100% for all four, the color is black. Now if you have zero, let's go ahead and change these to zero, it all changes to white. And you can move this up and have percentage of one color, and that's Cyan. You could double click some text and drag the color and drop it on to the text. Now let's choose RGB. And this is RGB - Red, Green and Blue and a mixture of each and this is for on screen. If I move RGB sliders all to the left, you get black. If you move them all the way to the right, you get white. Now let's choose the HSB, or the gray scale slider rather. Here's the gray scale and gray scale is just black to white and grays and everything in between. And you can drag the gray to a well and use it later. Here we are in Hue, Saturation and Brightness. And the first thing I like do is popup my saturation for a moment. Now you see my hues. I can choose any hue I want, and then control the saturation, the strength of that pure hue, and the colors or values in that hue. And values is the amount of black and white. And you can drag and drop a color on to some text. Now we're going to click right here on this icon, and now you have Apple colors. And these are preset colors from Apple. And you can pick and choose any kind of a color from a list, and you get some really neat results. You can drag and drop your colors, and we can select another style - these are called developer colors. And we have one called unnamed. And these are crayon, and crayons colors are gorgeous. And this is the web colors, and you see the Hexadecimal color code for each color. And the hue slider, allowing you to select any color in the rainbow. And you can make a new color. . And you can make a new color.
