Working with Media / Import from iPhoto

Subtitles of the Movie

We're going to use iPhoto. Now, we're going to use iPhoto to actually import pictures and do some cropping. Here, I have Keynote and iPhoto open side by side. And I'm going to move iPhoto over, and you see that I already have a image of a woman with her dog. Click import, or you can go to File and choose import. Let's go ahead and import a logo. Here's the logo. What I'm going to do now, if I double click the photo of the woman and her dog, it goes full screen and I'm going to click Organize here and then you go back. If I double click the logo, it'll go full screen. And I can adjust how it previews by moving the slider here, and I could go previous or next. And here I am - I'm going to click Organize, move this over. And I'm going to drag this photo of a woman and her dog slowly and drop it into Keynote, from one application to another - and let go. And there you see the woman and her dog. I'll move the Keynote away for now. I'll double click this logo, and just drag the logo out into Keynote. And what if you want a smaller picture? I'm going to align the center and distribute vertically. What if you want to crop a photo? You can double click the picture to edit; and if I click pull down into the right, I'm highlighting the area I wish to keep, and what I don't want is grayed out. And you can position this from the middle, and you click the crop button - which is right here. Now the image is cropped. Now what I'm going to do is select just the dog and click crop. And now I can drag the picture of just the dog, go back to Organize, and drag the picture of just the dog to Keynote. If you need your cropped photos, it's highly suggested to use iPhoto. And you could double click the logo here. I can't flip flop the graphic, but if I drag this graphic in now, and go back to Organize, there's a little problem, because it doesn't bring it in when it's flipped left or right - it brings in horizontal. We'll select and delete that. We'll be touching some more iPhoto later. be touching some more iPhoto later.
