Working with Media / Importing Graphics
Subtitles of the Movie
There are other ways to import graphics within Keynote. If we go to the File menu, you notice that you can save your document, and of course we have already gone over actually exporting a document. And we know how to import files from the libraries. But if we go to Edit and choose place, we get a bunch of options. Let's go ahead and select one. This is the choose option, allowing you to find a file that's on your hard drive without having to drag and drop it. I'm going to choose a QuickTime file, and you notice that in this window, it gives me information about the QuickTime file. Here's my QuickTime file. If I hold down Shift and scale it down from a corner, it'll constrain the proportions. And now we have our little QuickTime movie. If we go to place again, we could add another graphic. Here is our arrow. We may want to rotate this a little bit, so we'll open up our Inspector. You can go ahead and use the rotation tool to get the angles just right. And we could scale this down just a tidbit, and there's your arrowhead. You can go back to the place menu again, and choose another shape to accommodate this arrow, such as a line. And we could connect the line to the arrow and the guides will all help this snap into place just right. There you go. I have a straight line and the guides are helping me out, and that'll help intersect. And let's also go to another graphic - oval. And we could snap this using the guides. Snap it right to the end of our arrow, and the guides will help you in the course of all this. If you want to change the color of a shape, you can bring your colors out, choose a color, and drag it from the color well and drop it onto the object. Choose a yellow, drag it and drop it. And you can give the yellow a transparency, so the object is yellow but also transparent. Let's go ahead and add a rectangle. And there's a rectangle - we could go ahead and snap it on into place right next to the oval. And if you shrink it down, it'll still snap into place and that's pretty much it. o place and that's pretty much it.
