Keynote Basics / Importing Graphics
Subtitles of the Movie
Let's go ahead and choose a theme, and I'm going to choose my favorite, which is sandstone. And it's going to apply this theme to every slide I create. And then we'll go ahead and import the graphics. And importing the graphics is quite simple. It's just a drag and drop right into the application. I'm going to change the masters, the master slides. Let's go ahead and delete the content here first. I'm going to just type - 'welcome to the pet show!' And if you misspell it, if it sees that it should be separate words, it will tell you. Notice that we only have one slide at the moment. I'm going to add a slide. But I'm going to change the master to a blank, because we're bringing in some heavy graphics. Then we are going to open up our lessons files folder, and we're going to drag a movie file. And you can resize the movie. The movie will automatically play when your presentation is playing. Go ahead and slide this into place, go ahead and add another slide. Of course it is a blank, as you can see here in the master. Let's go ahead and add another graphic. Go ahead and bring this .png (PNG: Portable Network Graphic) of a woman and her dog, and we'll move her over a little bit. And you see the guides kind of snap into place there. And I'll make a new slide. Again this slide will also have a blank slide, and this is for graphic heavy or graphic intensity layouts. We'll drag a .pdf, Portable Document Format, and we'll go ahead and make one more slide. Select our folder, and now we'll drag another .png in. The graphic that was created using Photoshop Elements, and I also drag and drop a sound. And once you hit this slide, the sound will automatically play. You won't be able to hear the sound in this presentation, but if you follow along with this tutorial, you will. Now, we should select the first slide, and then go ahead and click play. Here's the first slide with our welcome screen. If we click, we get the movie, and the movie plays frame by frame until we click to the next slide, and there's the woman and her dog And there is the .pdf file. And finally there is the graphic with the sound playing and that's it. You exit the presentation. 00:03:18.0] You exit the presentation.
