Getting Started / Interface Basics
Subtitles of the Movie
Let's explore some of the basic features within Keynote. You could start by adding a slide. You could add as many slides as you like, and you could also take away slides by hitting the minus. Let's go ahead and just add a few. Now, I could also change the Master, which is basically the layout of that particular slide that's selected. I have got up a blank slide. You could also control the different views within Keynote - outline view, and (there's) several different types. We could choose a theme: click on Themes, the theme dialog box comes up, pick your favorite layout, and choose the theme. Now, it will load that theme layout and there you go. Here is the background color; you could see it looks more robust. I can click on the text to get a textbox: that's a textbox. I can position it and move it around if I wish. I could also choose a shape, and you could see, you can control the overlapping of the objects if you wish. This is our Inspector. Now I'm in my Table Inspector. I just inserted a table on the screen. Now I'm going to shrink the table down. What a table is, is a grid that contains data. It's great for spreadsheets and graphics and such; and I could select a cell, which is one square in the grid I could put content in that cell. Tap delete once you select any object. This is my chart. I can insert a chart using the Chart Inspector. It's a wonderful way to illustrate some ideas. I'll just tap delete. If I want to shrink my chart down, I can do that, and reposition. If I want to delete something, I could click on it and tap delete. Now, I am going to apply another textbox, and select the word 'Text', then choose my color palette. I can choose a color in the color wheel, and click and drag the color from the top, and drop it on to the word. Select a color, click right here, and drag it off onto the word. Now, if I select 'Text' again I can resize my text by choosing this menu. And I could use this slider to increase the size of the text. And this is very useful. f the text. And this is very useful.
