I'll be glad to do whatever I can. Now, we went through the very basics of Joomla!. We started out with our Installation. We can do a Local Install and a Remote Install. Either way you're going to be able to quickly and easily learn Joomla!. If it's just a practice site remember, try a Local Install, that way you'll get MySQL et cetera on your computer and you can kind of see how those things work. Then we went into our Joomla! Language, or our Joomla! Lingo. We understand the Backend, and the Front End, and that we've got Managers; lots of lingo there to make sure you review so you've got the terminology down. We also learned that you have Sections that are then divided into Categories, and then you divide into Articles, so that's your Pathway of Organization. Then we looked at our Users. There are different types of Users. The Super Administrator, remember, is that person who creates the site. Then after that you go down. You have Front End Users and Backend Users, and you can decide what their rights are. Then in our Intermediate Information we talked about Menus. Without Menus people can't use Joomla!. You've got to have access to all of your information through your Menus. With great working and easily understood Menus you'll keep users at your site. Once you have Menus planned out and ready to go you want to make sure your site has good Pages, you have good Articles with good images, and they're easily read. You can also add extra elements, like Polls and Newsfeeds. You can even sell banners on your web site to make a little bit of money. And finally we went into the more Advanced elements of Joomla!. We talked about all the Extensions that you can add inside our Joomla! web site. We can have Statistics, we can have a News Flash. We can change our Templates. We can even install new Templates. We can install all kinds of great Extensions that are available out there. Most of them you can easily find just on Joomla!'s site. People make Extensions for Joomla! all the time, so go out there and find some good ones to install that will work well for your users of your site. Finally we looked more into the Media Manager. We also looked into our Mail Tools, and our Global Configuration options. We also talked about Search Engine Optimization Ð very important that your Metadata is good, and accurate, but you also, again, remember, don't rely on SEO to get people to your site. Make your site so good that people want to go there. Send users Emails to remind them about your site. Put it also on your printed material. Link to other sites. Get your Link out there on sites so people will refer users on their site to your site. And finally we talked about just some very basic Security Information, backing up your Joomla! site. And then of course, uninstalling things like xampp. There's a lot of information and a lot of great elements within Joomla!, so I hope you have enjoyed these Tutorials and have enjoyed learning all about it.
