Subtitles of the Movie

In this movie let's talk about Article Ratings. You're going to have a lot of pages a lot of articles. What you need to be able to do is allow sometimes people to vote on that article. If it becomes a highly-rated article with a lot of great votes, more likely more people will read it possibly. Also, if you get a really good-rated article, sometimes outside people will then link to that on your site. That gets more linking out there for your site, your site gets out there more, you get more people to your site. To do this what we need to do is go into the Menu Manager and go find the specific item that I want to do that with. I'm going to click on our Edit Menu Items for the Help area. I'm going to go into our SEO Tips. What I have to do is go into the Parameters Component and find where it has information about voting. You can see right here. I'm going to show that and I'm going to hit Save. You'll note on there, if I change the Global Parameters to show it, I could do it that way for everything but a lot of times people are not going to want to vote on every single thing that they see. If you make it unique and just to appear once in a while, people will more likely do it. So let's go back here. I'm going to refresh this page to let it pick up the change, go into the article that we have and you'll see right here one through five and I can rate it best. Then when I'm done it says thanks for rating and you can see I gave it five right there. We can rate it again. You'll see something here. You already did that. So because I've already done that it's not going to let me go in there and mess with the ratings statistics and just keep telling because, you know, maybe I'm the author of the article and I want to make it look good. I can't go in there and just keep rating and rating and ratings. So take a minute, activate that Article Rating on different things that you think are really important to see on your site.
