In this tutorial we take a look at deciding which JavaScript Framework we should use for our given project. Now, of course, there is no simple answer here. However, there are certain projects that you will be doing which will lend themselves more readily to some of these other JavaScript Libraries that are out there. One of the factors that's going to influence which JavaScript Library you should choose is the license. Some of these JavaScript Libraries are available through an open source license, which also ends up meaning that you may need to have your project be open source as well. There are some JavaScript Libraries that are licensed commercially, giving you the freedom to not have to make your code open source. So if that's something that you're concerned about, you may only be interested in commercial licensed JavaScript Libraries. If you have a background in a specific programming language, you may feel more comfortable working with some of the JavaScript Libraries that are influenced by other programming languages. As an example of this, Prototype is pretty influenced by Ruby. MochiKit is pretty influenced by Python. So there are a large number of JavaScript Libraries that are kind of flavored so that they work better with other programming languages. Now, of course, if one is in the position to make a decision about which JavaScript Library to use, that decision of course is going to be based on personal experience and I've mentioned this before in a previous tutorial, that in order to best make a decision, one needs to have some practical experience with that particular JavaScript Library. So in the end, my recommendation to you is not necessarily the easiest thing, but it's going to be the most thorough and probably give you the best results that you're going to need and that recommendation is to take all of these JavaScript Libraries for a test drive and see which ones you like and if you don't have the time to do a test drive, just go to the different websites and take a look at all the demos and pick and choose the features that you like and work with those libraries and over time you may find that you gravitate towards a certain library. But the thing is, keep your mind open, check out what's available and always be willing to move into a new library or work with new tools as they become available and improve. And so that concludes our overview of the available JavaScript Libraries.
