My name is Mark Long and I've been the author and instructor for this C# course and I just want to tell you a little bit about myself so you that you'd understand kind of who I am and how I got here. I live in the Nashville, Tennessee area and kind of an aside I go into the Starbucks and apparently there's a number of Mark Long's in the Nashville, Tennessee area. So anyway I expect to be arrested or something one night for something I didn't do maybe, I don't know. But anyway I've grown up in the South Eastern United States, hence the accent, I get a lot of comments from a lot of people about the accent, some like it, some make fun of it and so forth, I hope it hasn't driven you crazy. A little about myself, I have been in the IT industry well over 20 years, I got into it, actually just before the Desktop PC made it's first appearance on the marketplace and I was playing with the Popular Science Magazines and the build your own processors at home when I was just a young nerd and didn't know, had no idea at the time. One of those classic examples where God takes care of you, where you have not enough sense to take care of yourself because I was learning, fascinated with PC's and the whole idea of these little processors before there ever was PC's, this idea of a computer and I thought it was a hobby and a fascination and I was building a career. And when the first personal PC came out I had been banging away on a Texas Instrument's TI994A for a few months and absolutely went nuts when I saw my first IBM 3270 PC. It's been a long and winding road since then, I spent a number of years with large telecommunications company in the Southeast and had an 18 year career there and now I do consulting and training on my own in Nashville and all over the country. So, anyway, I would love to hear your feedback on the course, any suggestions you have on this course, future courses. We at VTC would love to hear your suggestions about some things, some courses you would like to see, if there is some more things you would like to explored in C# or in development or any aspect that would help you, do your job learn what it is that you're suppose to be doing. It is a tough market out there right now. If you feel intimidated or lost or overwhelmed ever, I always tell my live students and my clients, welcome to the club, that's the way we all feel most days. So you can reach me here, MCTMark at Comcast.net, if you e-mail me to tell me what a great job I did, I enjoy that. If you e-mail me to tell me that I made a mistake in here I'll appreciate that. Unfortunately once it's out there's not a lot we can do, but I really do appreciate your suggestions about future courses and so forth. Let me give you a warning here, if you e-mail me and ask me consulting type questions, simple little questions, you know good resource for this you know, know a good way to do this, that sort of thing, if I can answer it quickly I will. If it takes a longer time it may take me a longer time to get back to you and depending on what's on fire at the time it could take me a few days or so to get back to you OK? But I will eventually get back to you, I'll do my best. Anyway let me know what you think, thanks a bunch for getting the video. I strongly encourage you to look at some other VTC titles. I know a bunch of the other authors, cool guys, some really smart, really intimidating guys. So anyway, thanks a bunch, that's a little bit about me, best of luck to you in your career and in your wrestles and term wills with C#
