Congratulations, you've now completed all the movies in this tutorial on HTML 4 and 5 with CSS. I've given you a comprehensive overview of all the more important aspects of HTML and CSS and how to use these technologies to create and style your web pages. The course started with an introduction to HTML including some of the tools and services you'll need to create and publish HTML pages as well as a review of the various versions of HTML. The next section reviewed the HTML Building Blocks that make up your web pages including the tags, tag attributes, ids, classes, URLs and much, much more. You next learned about the various components that make up the structure of HTML pages such as headers, footers, divisions, tables and much, much more. You then learned how to tag color and images. Next, the HTML for coding links was reviewed followed by tags for creating and formatting table elements. I then introduced you to html forms and how to create various form elements such as radio buttons, checkboxes, drop-down menus, selection lists and much, much more. The tutorial then moved on to CSS, starting with an examination of the concepts that lie at the heart of CSS, including the syntax rules, the three selectors, custom classes, tag redefines and advanced CSS selectors. Next you learned how to create new styles and then organize them into style sheets embedded into a page source code or as standalone style documents. Next, you learned about those elements that constitute the building blocks of CSS, including divisions or div tags, margins, borders, widths, heights and much, much more. Now, text is unarguably the most important element of any web page so next I demonstrated CSS techniques in detail for formatting text. You learned about choosing fonts, applying styles to text, setting line heights, letter spacing, styling drop caps, as well as tips for improving text legibility. Next I demonstrated how to style lists, colors and images using CSS. You then learned how to lay out pages using CSS div elements including a variety of positioning schemes and options, how to apply floats in your layouts and the various types of CSS page layouts that are common on the Web today. You then learned more about HTML 5, including its differences with HTML 4 and some of its exciting new features and capabilities including its new structural elements, its media playback capabilities and some of the new HTML 5 APIs that are now available. I next introduced the advanced topics of XML, JavaScript, Multimedia, Dynamic HTML, and AJAX. These are beyond the scope of this work, but you also learned about sources where you can learn more of these technologies. And the tutorial concluded with a review of the skills and tools you'll need to publish your website so it can be seen by anyone with a browser. In conclusion, I hope this comprehensive survey of HTML and related technologies has given you an idea of the technologies and techniques behind the creation of every web page. Using the skills and knowledge you've gained from the movies in this tutorial you should now be ready to start creating your own CSS formatted web pages. I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial as much as I've enjoyed delivering it to you. Good luck with all your future HTML and web design endeavors.
