About the Author. My name's Brandon Vaccaro and I've been the author for this course. I hold the degrees of Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Master of Music and Composition from the University of Denver, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Composition from the University of Denver. I've been an active composer of concert music and music for media for about 15 years. I've written film scores, I've written for orchestra, wind ensemble, chamber ensembles and I've also been a performer in rock bands. I'm a guitar player and I've played in a number of bands as well as working as a free-lance improviser and collaborator with other musicians. Additionally, I have a background in Audio Engineering and have worked as a music producer.
