Another Preference we can add is the ability to personalize a solution. This will entail us adding Preferences for Name, Address, City, State, Zip, Phone, E-mail and even their logo. This will allow them to customize their Invoice Printing layout and any other layout that has personal information on it, possibly a custom Form Letter. So let's go into Manage, Database, we'll go over to GLOBALS and let's add in xcompany, that'll be a Global field, then we'll add in xaddress, again a Global field. We need xphone. Now we could be adding these in and I'm going to view by creation order here, we could be adding company, address and phone all as one field but what this enables us to do here is use them separately if we want to. We can combine them with Merge fields in the same Text Block or use them separately if we want. So let's add in also xemail, we'll create that as a Global and then we also want xlogo. Now that's going to change to a Container field but it's also going to be Global. So we have all those fields added. I'm going to switch it back to field name, click OK. We're going to go into our Layout Mode and go to our GLOBALS Preferences and we're going to add the fields in here and actually I'm going to borrow these from CUSTOMERS Form here, so we'll come in here and grab this text right here, or this field and this Text Block. We'll copy that, come back over to GLOBALS Preferences, we'll paste it right in there, get it lined up nicely here and I'm going to check to see if this is lined up, that looks good. So we'll double-click on this, change it to our GLOBALS, there we go, up at the top, Current Table and we want to start with xcompany, there we go, click OK and we're done with that one and we can duplicate this, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, move it down. Just to make things a little bit easier I'm going to duplicate it several times so we have the Company, the Address, then we have the Phone, the E-mail, and the Logo, so we need two more. And we'll come in here - and you notice I'm making these distance and this probably needs a little bit more distance here, but I'm keeping these close together so they appear to come together and work together. We'll eventually add some more interface here but for right now this is fine. Even a little bit of space between these indicates they're different areas and that these are together because they're closer together. So we remember these things about how people look at stuff. So we'll come in here and change this to our xaddress, there we go. And we'll change that title to Address. Now this one needs to be a little bit bigger so we're going to move everything down a little bit, make this one a little bit taller, at least two lines, maybe a little bit more. That's pretty good. And we'll align this up at the top here and actually that's an appearance here, there we go. Move this down, move these back up, try to get the same distances so it's very consistent. That looks about right. We'll go for xphone next, title this Phone, and then we'll go for xemail next, title that E-mail. And then we're going to need our logo next so we're going to make this a little bit bigger also. There we go, that looks about right. It doesn't have to be the exact size of the logo, just to give them an idea what they put in there. So we'll align this to the top again, double-click on it, call it xlogo and now we can go ahead and enter some data in here. So we'll put in Database Pros, Rancho Hills Drive, there we go, done with that. Get the phone number in there and E-mail address, and then we get our logo in here. So we're going to go to Insert Picture, make sure we're not storing it as a Reference, go to Logo. This is provided in the Work Files if you don't have your own logo, put it in there and let's go into Layout Mode and let's change the way that's formatted. There we go. We'll say, Reduce or Enlarge and that should make it look a little bit better so they see it right. Now we can make it any size we want on our actual Print Invoice. One thing you might want to do is put a little button here that says Insert Logo so it's a little bit easier for the user, they don't have to go click into here, go to the Menus, but this is pretty basic stuff, you know, you might want to Insert and Delete also, but you know, since this is fairly basic stuff we're not going to do this in the Advanced tutorial, we want to go on to what we want to do here which is modify that Print Layout.
