As I was saying earlier, the new Status toolbar is not just a cosmetic redesign. It's not just a good looking revamp of what it was before. And as we've seen, there are new features in here. There's this new icon here, you have this whole customizable area here. But you also have one of the most significant new features, which is the ability to click and hold down on Find. And when you do that you'll see that you have a ton of other choices. You have Create New Find which is the same as clicking on the Find button up here, you have Modify Last Find which we learned is also under the Records menu, right, but more easily accessible here. You have Save Current Find, Edit Saved Finds, and then you have Saved Finds and Recent Finds. So let's see how all this stuff works. Let's go into Find mode by clicking, type in California as the state, perform that find, and we've done our find. But if we click and hold down, we'll see that we have our Recent Finds. In fact if we go ahead and Show All Records and change somebody to Memphis, California and then choose this, choose to do that recent find again, we're going to find that new Memphis, California record because it's saving the Find criteria of our most recent find. And this is handy because you can go back and say you may have a Find that was very complicated and why type that in again if FileMaker will just remember it really quickly for you? And it may have not just been the last find, it may have been several finds ago so you can't go to Modify Last Find to do it. So this is very handy. You can come in here. Now you can also come in and save that find. So we'll come in and call that California. We'll save that, we'll Show All Records, choose that, and there's California because there's only so many recent finds you can have on here. So if you really want that to be in there and you're using it a lot, there you go. You can search on California. Now it's important to realize that this information that's stored in here is going to be based on the file and the table you're in. We only have one table again, but if you had multiple tables, different recent finds and saved finds would show up because obviously they can't work inside of a different table. If you searched on the state inside of your Contacts and then tried to look for state inside of your Products, it doesn't have a State field. So this is going to be specific to the file and the table you're looking at. As well as if you're in a network scenario, it's also going to be specific to the account that's logged on. So you can save all these finds with that file and that table, but not everybody who's looking at that file over the network is going to see the same finds, and only you are going to see those ones that you've saved. So that's very handy; it works well in a network situation. Now when you go to Find mode you also notice you have Saved Finds here, so you can get to them here if you want also. And if we go back into Browse Mode and then click and hold down here, we can edit our saved finds. Let's see how that works. You see that we had that one saved find here, we can edit it if we want, we can change the name if we want, but really here's the most important thing. Let's go into the Advanced section. We can actually modify that find manually. So you may like this better. Some people like tweaking with things, they like to get in there and to the insides. They don't want to just do it the easy way which is perform the find and then save it. Sometimes they want to tweak it. So if we go in here and Edit, you'll see that you can do all kinds of things here. We can say well I want to omit records rather than find records, or I want to include the last name as a new choice, and we'll say we want the last name to be Osborne, right? And we'll say Add. Now we could've changed this but we'll say Add, and now we have two sets of Find criteria here. But we could come in here and say WA and change it. So we have all kinds of capabilities here. I'm going to cancel this though, and of course you have your operators here as well. Now you can also make new requests in this area. We can say New and add on a new request for last name. Let's see if we can find it here. There's last name, Osborne, we'll add that. This time I'll click OK and you'll see that now we have a find request for California or Last Name Osborne. We can click OK, it saves it along with it. We can save that. Now all this stuff is saved, you can see a summary of it here. And since I want to get rid of it now I'm just going to hit Delete. It's gone, and you can see that it's no longer underneath the Saved Finds, and it can also clear all Recent Finds so that now everything's gone from that menu. So you can see how powerful this feature is. Before in previous versions of FileMaker this required scripting, and it wasn't that efficient. Now it's very fast. FileMaker's added this, and so it gives you a really good reason to continue to show this new Status toolbar area because it really has some significant features. It's not just cosmetic. There are significant features in here.
