So there we go. We applied the text color to that. Then we say at size equals text size and we use at color. So whatever this color is supplied, it gets passed on to text size and we apply the size from that pop-up menu. Simple as that. Then we do the same thing with that style. We say Text Style Add and we use at size; the one we had before. But this is a little more complicated. When we go to Text Style Add and we look at that, we can apply many styles. See how it's plural? If we come in here and look at this and move this over and take a look at what it says here, we can take a look at an example. You can apply all these styles but as we come in here, you can see that we can apply multiple styles by putting a plus sign in there. So let's see why we did this, why we did this whole long thing. Well, we can start just by looking at the inside portion. You're familiar with the Substitute Function. We look at xstyle. That is our check box. We can check multiple items. Remember, the check box items are stored in a return-separated list so we'll look for each return and replace it with a plus. Seems like that would work, but we do have to evaluate. This will say evaluate this as not our text. We want to evaluate it as a result because this is what this needs. This doesn't really need text here. It needs a result. It needs values and so by putting this through evaluate actually makes what we have in the Substitute, it doesn't really change it as far as we're concerned as far as looks-wise, but it does change it for the Text Style Add Function to make it work. Try it without Evaluate. It will not work. Even though you'll seem like it has the same result. And then what we do, our result of our function is at style. Whatever this ends up with, which is based on this at size and at color. And then once we're done, once you've applied that we have to re-put in our selection. So we put the word FileMaker back in there with all the styling but we have to put in our selection again. So we just simply say at selection start, which is that value, and then we need an end position here, which is a little bit different than what we saved or what we actually can save. We can only save the active selection size but it wants the end position so we had to do a little trickery here. We say take the selection size and the selection start, add them together and subtract one and that will be the end position. So that whole thing will allow you to change this and let's test it out to make sure it works here. I don't know what we have to save, so say don't save. And let's select something like FileMaker, apply it and you can see it applies blue, 18-point, underline. Works great. So there's your feature. Use it. You might want to consider also using custom menus. That's also an alternative. It's up to you. Always want to have many tools in your belt and even if you won't use them, this is a great brain teaser, a great solution to solve, a great thing to try to work out to really get your FileMaker juices flowing.
