Navigating / Zooming & Presets

Subtitles of the Movie

OK, here's an overview of Zooming. The first and most obvious one is going to the Zoom Tool and you can do that by hitting F5, or just clicking on the button here. There are two different forms of Zoom; the first one we'll do is Normal Zoom. And all we need to do is click and drag and we zoom into the area that we've selected, so it's pretty straightforward. If we want to go back out then we hold down the Option key, or the Alt key on Windows and we zoom back out. If we want to Single Zoom, that's what this second option is, so let's say I'm on another Tool and then I press F5 twice to get to Single Zoom, that's indicated by this little arrow. Now when I zoom notice that I'm going to quickly go back to the Selector Tool I had before, so I Single Zoomed. So, if I had something like the Grabber Tool, same thing again, I hit F5 and I go in and I zoom and now I'm back to the Grabber Tool. So, I'm going to go ahead and do that again. This time I'm going to hold down Option and what that does is it allows me to go the opposite direction. So, by holding down Option I'm going the opposite direction. Other ways to Zoom is by holding down the Command forward and back brackets on Mac, or Control forward and back brackets on Windows. And I'm zooming in and out, so that's one other way to zoom. If I'm on Key Focus Mode, which would be indicated by having this highlighted I can hit my R and T buttons, it'd be exactly the same function, just with different Key Commands, or if I'm not on Key Focus, let's say I have something else focused, like my Groups, and I decided to go in and zoom, this time I have to hold Control and R and T to get that same function. Notice that my Universe Window is updating to show me what my Current Selection is. Another way that we can go in and zoom is up in the Ruler Bar. If I hold down Command and Control I can zoom in this way as well, so that allows me to zoom in to various areas of my Window. So, those are a few options for Zooming. There are others that we can do to focus in on a specific area Ð Control-E I can focus in and zoom a specific Track and to a Preset in my Settings. Those are the main ways to Zoom. Hopefully you'll find that helpful.
