Memory Locations Part 2. So, let's create a new Memory Location. I'm going to go ahead and press Enter and with Memory Location I'm going to go to None. By choosing None that's based on the Preferences that I have here, so I just want to actually save a Zoom setting, or Pre-, Post-Roll Time, et cetera. So, let me go ahead and configure my Edit Window to show some of the things that I would like. So, I'm going to go into my Edit Window, cancel out of that, and change some of my settings, so I'm going to actually have Tracks zoomed in, so this is actually at Large, and then I'm going to jump to specific zoom size, and I'm going to turn on some of my Track Show-Hide, so I want actually on this: choose to see specific tracks, so I'm going to say that on this I'd like to see just the Drum Tracks. So with just the Drum Tracks showing I go through here you can see now, just the Drum Tracks are showing, and let me press Enter, and choose some of these settings here. So, I've got Zoom setting that I'd like to jump to; my Track Show-Hide I'd like to jump to and choose None, because I don't want to save an actual Location or Selection, and my Track Height, so I adjusted one of the Tracks to have a different height. I didn't do anything really with Groups that I want to focus on, so if I had Groups on I could turn on or off my Groups and then my Pre- and Post-Roll Windows configuration we haven't really set. So, I'm going to choose OK on that, so now if I jump to that Memory Location it's really not going to do much for me at this point, so, with these settings I may actually give it a name so we can see: Settings, and we'll also say Track Show and Heights. This is Show and you can see by the little dots already to indicate what actually was saved with this, so there was no Selection Memory Location made. It's our Zoom settings, our Track Show-Hides, and our Track Heights. So, let me get back to what I had before, so I want to be able to see everything, so I'm just Control-clicking on the All to show everything in my Groups, and now that everything is showing here I'm going to go and change all of my Zoom Settings to Fit to Window and then save this as a Configuration. So, let me press Enter again; I want None, and I'm going to choose OK. So, this is my second one that I've set. So, if I want to jump back to what I had before you can see now I'm just seeing my Drums and I have my Zoom Settings that I had previously set, and then I'm going to jump to what I saved before. Again, everything's showing with my Zoom Settings. So, with the Memory Locations it's really handy to do a lot of different functions. I'm particularly fond of the way Pro Tools handles this, all the different things you can store. So, going on to some of the other things that you see in there, if I want to have Pre- and Post-Roll Times set I could have that Memorize also. If I created a few Groups, watch the movie on Groups. If I had some of those I could go in and have those automatically enabled or disabled. So, I want Group 1 to be Enabled with this, and now when I press Enter I'm going to have my Pre-Roll and my Group enabled as well. So, as I toggle between these two different settings you can see what saves actually with this. So, I need to make sure that those are checked if I want those to toggle, so let me go ahead and now create one with a different Drum Group, and I'm going to change my Pre- and Post-Roll Time I have here, and we'll do something a little more extreme so you can see the difference. Choose Enter with this, and so now, as I jump between these two different settings you can see they actually change and my Groups change as well. So, moving on to our Windows Configurations we'll discuss this in another movie and once you understand how Windows Configurations work this can also be pulled up through our Memory Locations, all of our different Windows Configurations.
