Score and Edit. New to Pro Tools 8 is now our Score Window as well as our new MIDI Editor. If you look at the bottom I have a new arrow that allows me to see a new MIDI Editor, so if I select a Region then down at the bottom I can actually see all the notes that are in this MIDI Region. This allows me in one window to be able to see my MIDI rather than having to go in and zoom in like we did before and make our Tracks bigger to try to be able to edit our MIDI, and always doing this in one location on the Track itself, so we can have a MIDI Editor and we can select between what we're actually editing. So, MIDI's a lot easier to work with now in Pro Tools 8. We can also see multiple MIDI Regions at the same time, so if I want to see both of these together I can choose in my Tracks View, which is independent of my Tracks View in my Edit Window, the Tracks View on my MIDI Editor can show all of my MIDI Regions together. So, now I'm seeing both of those parts together. Let me go back to Regions View, and you can see both of these are actually showing together. So, that's a new, handy thing. We also have, when we double-click, we can open up a new MIDI Editor, and we can choose in a Preference what actually opens when we double-click on a Region, whether it be this MIDI Editor at the bottom or a new Window, so let's go to Windows, and we'll see MIDI Editor, and this is just a jumbo size window of being able to edit our MIDI. Again, we can have multiple tracks at the same time and we can also choose to actually show in this window a Score Layout View, and this uses Sibelius's engine, so AVID, which owns Digidesign, now also owns Sibelius, so they're using Sibelius's engine. We can go and export this and use this within Sibelius as well, which is really helpful, and we can go into a Full Score Window if we want to, so the default Key Command for this on the Macintosh system is Control-Option-equals, and Option is the Alt and the Control is the Windows key on a Windows system. So, now there's our Score Editor. All the blue notes are the notes that are selected, and there is a lot that we can do in both of these Parameters. So this is just a quick overview of showing you what these windows are and our new windows that we can actually use to work with MIDI. So, for the first time we have a Score inside Pro Tools.
