Locking Regions. So I've got a time lock happening right here on this locked region and I'm going to do just a general lock on this region. You can see with the time lock, got a little hollow lock with just a lock. I've got the full, solid lock. This is under the Regions Menu where you choose this so select a region first and then go to Regions and choose what you want to do. So let's discuss both of these. So with an edit lock, if I try to move this around, I'm going to get a pop-up that says this region's locked. Are you sure you want to allow this? So yeah, I'm going to choose allow. So if I try to delete something, same thing. I get the pop-up and sure, yup, I'm going to let that happen. So I get a warning basically with the lock. With the time lock, see the key command is Option Control L for this instead of Command L and with the time lock, what this does is locks it in time so I don't get a pop-up on this. So if I try to move this to the side, it's just not going to let me. However, I can mov this vertically from track to track because it's just locking this in position. So if I drag up, I don't have to worry about this accidentally moving to the side even though I'm trying because it's time locked, whereas another region like this I can move this anywhere. If I hold down Control, I can lock this into place, so it won't drag from side to side. So that's how I can time lock moving a region. Otherwise, but with the time locked region, I'm not really worried about the editing. I just want it to stay in sync with everything else so I can go in, delete, no pop-up and everything's fine. So that is working with our various options for locking our regions.
