Coalesce VCA Groups. So, Coalescing VCA Groups, now that we know about our VCAs, we know about Groups, we know about Coalescing, let's put these together. So, I've got some Automation written from this VCA Group here, and I want to actually take this out of my Group, so I'm going to disable this, I'm going to say that belongs to no Group, so what's going to happen, like that's, those Groups no longer have those Parameters because I changed that and took that out to No Group, so now they're back on. Again, kind of the nice thing of a VCA is it allows you to turn that on or off or assign that to something else. So I'm going to go to my Preferences. We've got this Option here that we can choose to actually Remove or Coalesce on Removing Slave from VCA Groups, what that means, if I take an individual Track out of the Group then I can have that be written. So I'm going to modify this Group and say, you know what the Kick, I don't want to be part of that Group anymore, so I'm going to modify, take this out, Remove, and then choose OK, yup, I'm going to get that, so that Dialog was just asking me: Do you want to Coalesce this? And it did have Automation but it was following because of the VCA, and there it is, so it's part of it. So either way I'm going to get that. I'm going to take this setting and go ahead and check that and now I'll no longer get that Dialog. So, Coalesce on Removing, and let's do it to our Snare, so I'm going to modify again, and then we'll take our Snare out of our Group. Double-click, choose OK, and no more do we get that Dialog and it automatically removed that. So, when that was unchecked I could have just said no, I actually want it to stay where it's out. I purposely took that out, when I have that Preference on to Coalesce them I no longer have that Dialog. So, that's what happens when we remove something from a Group that's assigned to our VCA Track.
