I am Lauri Sowa-Matson and it has been my privilege to walk you through some of the optimization techniques for your database. As a small business owner, I have found that the true success of a database is really understanding the data and how it is going to be used. I cannot emphasize the significance of planning when you're designing your actual database itself. Knowing the results, knowing the reports is truly the key to a perfectly operational database. Along with working as a consultant, I have been actively involved with database administration. I work with a variety of clients in every different industry and have been honored to see a variety of solutions through working with data. I also work as an accounting consultant. In this regard, I have realized the significance of understanding accounting when developing database systems. Very often, the materials that we're placing into our database are structured and determined by our financial institutes. After all, many times, they are the department that is ensuring that we are compliant with different regulations. I've also had the opportunity to discuss and to teach a variety of courses primarily within the Microsoft field. I am Microsoft Certified and along with college instruction, I have also been a National Seminar instructor. I have taught over twenty thousand students over the years and it has been privilege to really see how we have developed within the technological field.
