Now what we're gonna do is focus on the strands of hair and what I've done is I've chosen color pencils and I've chosen grainy color pencil number 7. The size is 3.1 with an opacity of 18 percent and I've also increased the grain a little bit. What we're gonna do now is on the character we're going to start to paint the hair. So I know that he's gonna have a part right about here. So I'm just gonna start to put in those strokes like this. And start to follow the hair around like this. You can even get a little fancy and put a couple of strands in front like that. After uh, this particular piece what I'm gonna do is actually show you a completely different painting that I did of Hammy using different tools. I mean just gonna show you the finished version so you know that there is no right or wrong way to any of these techniques, I'm just showing you one of several ways you can do this using various tools. Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to choose a different color, a little bit lighter and I'm gonna increase the size of the brush, gonna go back over that again. Let me actually go ahead and make that just a little lighter and I'm going to reduce the brush just a little bit and go over that again, just to give the hair a grainy feel. And so we can see those strokes underneath it. Once again I'm trying to follow the lines that are already down there. And I'm also going to just fill in this area a little tiny bit, clump it up a little bit. Usually with a concept sketch all you really want to do is just show somebody what the character could look like. So let's go ahead and choose an even darker color and I'm going to reduce the opacity a lot just to fill in some of these other areas. Usually with a concept piece of artwork you're going to have a bio that goes along with that so the person knows who the character is. At this point I'm gonna go ahead and paint in his face so I'm gonna grab the eyedropper and draw his mouth in. I'm gonna go back to the artist oils and choose an oily bristle and just go ahead and paint in his lips. And underneath the mouth line, mouth line a little bit too low so put it right about there decrease the size of this brush and actually decrease the opacity for this bottom part like that. There we go. And you can also grab a blender brush to really go over it again and smooth it out a little bit. Add a little bit of that shadow, a lip, you really have to just play around with a lot of the opacities and all these settings when you're working on it. Let's move these things out a little tiny bit.
