Subtitles of the Movie

As you can see in my Brush Selector I have a brush called F-X selected. Stands for Special Effects. Because we're going to use this guy and his pals to create some Special Effects. Let's take a look at what's in here. This has something called Confusion, confusion is an interesting name and you can use it to add some modeled kind of feeling to your surfaces. Let me just go ahead and show you what that does. I'll increase the strength of that brush as you can see to a 100 percent. I'll increase the size of it and I'll just paint in this region here, just show you what it does. It will add this kind of Blotch or Model Effect to it which could be really nice for texture effects, for skin and for you know parchment paper. So feel free to use that if you want to in this image. I'm going to add another layer and if they ever outlaw layers I don't know what I'm going to do with myself. I love layers. I'm going to call this one Effects. I'm going to choose the, let's see I can choose the Glow or the Neon Pen for this effect. Let's go with Neon Pen. And I'm going to choose a red color and I'm going to reduce the size of the brush, make sure my layer is default, the default type, and in the cracks I'm just going to paint. As you can see they're starting to glow. It's got a neon thing going on and if you can't see that just increase the color a little bit and now you can see that we have this glow in there. Let me just keep going and don't forget you can also change the composite method once you're done, to experiment. I'm going to go back to red. You can also by the way use the Glow Pen and I'm going to reduce the size of that brush and show you what that does. It adds a little bit of a glow to that area. Now of course since this a Comp, a Marker Comp, you definitely want to emphasize things to people so they can see it. So you're going to add some glow in the cracks so they can kind of get the feeling that there is some kind of radiation or something emanating from this, this ground and some residual heat as well. So this thing is not quite cool yet, although the artwork is cool. That's my joke of the week. Thank you. So folks I hope you had a good time. We used several different tools, different effects to create something that was nothing that went to being a sketch and finally a Marker Comp with some added effects.
