Corel Painter 11 works in the same way on both a Macintosh and a Windows PC. There are some minor differences and if there is any big whammies coming up I'll let you know. But for now, I just want to let you know that you preferences will be in different locations. If you want to tweak Painter, and don't worry I will talk about how to tweak the preferences. On a Macintosh you'll find that option under the menu name of the application. In this instance, Corel Painter 11, click on it and here are the preferences. On the Windows side you will find preferences generally under the edit menu. The other thing we have to worry about is just pretty much keyboard shortcuts for performing common tasks. For example, saving, if you're on a Macintosh, you'll be pressing Command, which is the little picture of the apple or that little squirrelly thing. Let me go ahead and just draw that for you, this thing here, whatever that is, that is the Command key on a Mac, or once again you'll see the little friendly picture of the apple. So Command plus S will help you save and you can also see that up here. So we can go to save and there's that little symbol, right, must be something with the DaVinci Code with that symbol. I'm going to look that up. On a PC it will be Control and Save. So instead of me saying all throughout the lesson, hey Mac guys it's Command S and Windows guys it's Control S, I will typically say something like and then to save press Command or Control S or Command or Control P for print. So once again to find the option that you need, you can simply open any menu and where applicable you will find the letter and the symbol that you need to press to perform a certain task. So that is simply the difference between the different versions. Other then that we should be able to work pretty much in the same fashion, so other then those minor things, and once again if it's anything major I will definitely bring it to your attention.
