Interface / Painter Help
Subtitles of the Movie
Even though I am programmed to help you as best I can with Corel Painter 11 my databanks do not have all the information you may require. That it is why you have the Help Menu over here. The Help menu is going to be for those times when you want to learn all about Painter, so there might be a button that's pretty obscure that I didn't talk about. Well you can go to the Help Menu and find out that information very easily. Now I already have my Help open and I'm going to show you what it looks like. It opens up the Corel Painter Help which is a PDF File and you can click on the contents and then you can see all kinds of cool stuff. So you can see Welcome Information, you get a Workspace Tour, learn the basics and tons, tons more. You can also ask a question by simply entering what it is you're looking for. So let's say I'm looking for Alpha Channels, I'll go ahead and type Alpha Channels and hit Enter or Return on my keyboard and there we go. Importing Channels from other programs, Alpha Channels, Creating, Generating, blah, blah, everything you ever want to know and more about Alpha Channels. When you're done searching click on the X here and that will clear that field out or you can just click on this arrow and go back to the last page. That's one way you can get help. Let me go ahead and put this back down here and head back to Painter. You can also get Tech Support from here, find tutorials and you can also choose to see the Welcome Screen. Typically this is what you'll see when you launch the application. If you don't want to see this every time you launch Painter just deselect right here where it says Show this Dialog at start-up. Now I personally like to see it because I get a different piece of artwork every time I launch it, makes me happy inside. You can also click here to have Painter automatically look for updates to the application whenever you do launch it. So you're not left behind just in case Corel decides to slip in some new stuff. You can also by the way from this Menu create a new document, open an existing document and also go through your recent documents. So it's kind of cool. So I'm going to go ahead and close this for now and once again just to reiterate that if you need additional help with the application you can find it right here.
