Corel Painter 11 Tutorials

Interface / Libraries & Movers

Subtitles of the Movie

Painter makes it very easy for you to choose your favorite papers or things in the libraries to share then share with a co-worker or a colleague whether they are in your same office or somewhere else across the globe. Now what I'm going to do is open up my Paper Library by clicking on the Paper Selector in the Toolbox. What I can do is go to this Arrow here to then launch the palette or if I want to I can go right to my Paper Mover or open a Library that's inside of my Painter Installation. So I'm going to choose Paper Mover and I'll also show you that you can close this and you can do the same thing by launching the palette itself. So I can launch the Palette and I can also access that same function from here. Now this is the Paper Mover, it's a crazy name and it sounds like your moving paper away from your Painter into somewhere else which is kind of how it works. But you're able to create a New File and then drag your papers out of here and then e-mail to someone else if you want to. So what I'm going to do is create a New Paper File and on my Desktop I'll just call it Share and what I want to do is share with someone else so I'll know that this is what I want to save it or I can say Shared let's Papers. Click Save and now that I have the Shared Papers down here this is blank and this is waiting for me to grab some papers from here. So I'll grab this guy, put it over there. Grab this one and this one and you can just drag out as many of these as you like and once you're done you can then change the name if you want to or you can simply say done. So what I'm going to do is hop over to my Desktop and show you that we have this Shared Papers Library and here it is. It's a Paper Texture Library and I send this to someone else and they can open it in their version of Painter and then follow along exactly with what I'm doing. Not chances of course they have the same Papers that we have, but if you do decide to create your own Custom Papers this would really shine because then you'll be able to share your papers that are not available to them very easily. Now let's go ahead back to this again and I'm going to go to Paper Mover and I can choose to Open and then go to my Desktop, go to my shared papers and then open that and now I have access to these papers inside my version of Painter. So it's a really cool way to half some functionality between either yourself and another artist or yourself and another group of people in a different studio with papers that you create yourself.
