Subtitles of the Movie

A lot of Concept Artists use Painter to create worlds and if you're working with other people in the same studio the Color Sets Palette is really going to come in handy for you. What it allows you to do is to save Color Sets and open them. So let's say for example I'm working on a Concept for a new video game and I have three people working with me and I want to make sure that everyone is on the same page as far as the look and feel of the universe. So its overcast all the time or its raining or its prehistoric or futuristic, I can choose colors from an Open Document and then go to Save that Color Set and then the other artist can open or append that Color Set and work with the same colors I'm working with. Let me give you an example. This is a brand new document; the canvas is blue so if I go to this Menu here and I say New Color Set from Image, I only get two colors. Not very exciting, but let's say that I have this Maj Tower Image once again pretty basic but I want the artist on a team to work with just this Color Palette and let's say we're doing a whole series of backgrounds and set pieces and I want everyone to stay in this range of colors. No purple, no pink except for in the moon. I could do the same thing; I can go to the Options and choose New Color Set from Image. Kabam. Now of course if you can't really see these colors too well not a problem, we can increase the size of these swatches. Go to the Menu and choose Swatch size and you can increase them. You make it even larger then that if you want to and larger still to almost ridiculous size. So now everyone can be on the same page and they can make their backgrounds, their characters, uniforms and all that kinds of stuff by using the same exact Color Sets. So once again, definitely a great way to work, especially if you're working with a team of people. So just open an image and choose New Color Set from Image and then simply save that Color Set to your Desktop or whatever you want and email it to your team and they'll be able to stay on the same page and create great artwork with you.
