Subtitles of the Movie

In this lesson we're going to take a quick look at some of the new features of Paint Shop Pro Photo XI. First one we're going to look at is quick review. I need to open my organizer to view this. But quick view is an icon here in the organizer toolbar which allows us to select one or more pictures and then enter quick review, which displays in full screen as a little slide show. We can scroll through them, pause and access editing as well as sharing settings at the bottom. Pretty neat. Press escape to exit that. There's also photo trays. Let's open up the photo tray palette. I've got a couple of pictures here in my photo tray, which is just a little nice way of being able to access files quickly. You can create different complications of pictures to store in photo trays, and you're basically storing a shortcut to the picture or your Paint Shop Pro graphics files so that you can open them up and edit them easily. You can add or remove from the photo tray. Also got the organizer as a whole which allows you to organize and tag and search for images. There's greater information that you can display. Tagging allows you to basically organize your pictures by keyword such as you know birthday or the name of a person or a place. Gives you other information as well. I can toggle that information on or off. Video file preview allows you to play videos here in the organizer. You can set thumbnails, you can also save frames as photos. So let's pause this, scrub the video to find a frame I want to save, click that, and that allows me to save this frame and then open it up for editing. Alright, going to open up a couple files here. We're going to work through some of the new menu settings very quickly, as well as the settings new tools on the toolbar here. The first of which is going to be effects, photo effects, time machine. This is a new tool in Paint Shop Pro Photo XI which allows you to select from a different like timeline of photos and photo effects alter their intensity and photo edges. I'm going to choose something platinum, which is popular here from 1873 to 1920, and I'm going to press OK to apply that effect with the border so you can see instant time machine pretty cool. Going to open up another one, we're going to look at depth of field here. This is my son Jake and my wife riding a carousel. This time you choose adjust, depth of field. This blurs everything outside of this selected area. Or, if you choose invert it blurs everything inside of it. That's pretty neat too. Let's look at another effect. Now the color changer. I'm going to change these pink gloves. Color changer is below the flood fill, so I'm going to select that, and then whatever color I choose to change is going to be filled with the foreground color if I click with my left mouse button. So let's change those to the same yellow as his hat. And now go back to the color changer tool and click in those gloves. Boom, instant yellow. I really like that tool. Alright that was the third picture. Now for this one, open this up and do film and filters. Choose effects, photo effects, film and filters, and now we can choose from different film looks such as vivid skin tones and then apply creative filters such as those here. Then you select OK, it applies the filter and it's like you're applying an actual photographic filter to a digital picture or an original work in Paint Shop Pro. Another new feature is the Yahoo toolbar located up at the top. You can search on Yahoo, access your email, mobile phone, music, instant messaging it's all built right into Paint Shop Pro. You can drag this toolbar around just like the others. There's also enhanced crop tool which allows you to change settings from different perspectives and dimensions here, drag your crop corners around, apply, it's enhanced and very useful. So there are a lot of new features in Paint Shop Pro Photo XI. These are a few very quickly reviewed. We're going to cover them during the course of the lessons in this tutorial, and just going to show you how to take advantage of the new and advanced features in Paint Shop Pro Photo XI.
