Subtitles of the Movie
In this lesson we're going to install Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI. When you insert the CD into your CDROM drive the setup program should launch automatically. If it doesn't, open up My Computer, navigate to your drive, open it up and run the setup program. We're presented with three installation options. Paint Shop Pro Photo, Snapfire Plus, Painter Essentials. You can also open up the user guide or explore the CD. Let's install Paint Shop Pro Photo. Choose an installation language. And now accept the license agreement. Put in your username and organization if you have one. Now enter the serial number from the product authenticity card. When you're finished press next. And you can choose to have the installation program put shortcuts on your desktop, the quick launch bar, allow you to right click a graphics file and have it open in Paint Shop Pro Photo, and install the Yahoo toolbar. You can also decide whether or not to change the installation location. Advanced allows you to toggle file associations either with or not with Paint Shop Pro Photo. Many times JPEG and gif, and PNG's are associated with your web browsers. BMP is most often associated with Windows Paint and TIFF is most often associated with either scanners or the Windows image viewer. I'm going to uncheck those, I'm going go to leave the location where Paint Shop Pro will save my personally created files in the default location which is in your user account My Documents, My Paint Shop Pro files. This would be things like scripts, extra textures, and so forth that you create in Paint Shop Pro that help you run the program. Those are unique to your user. Now let's click and install. All right, the installation has completed, now we can choose to install Snapfire and the photo downloader, see important information about the product, and launch the product. Going to leave all those checked, going to leave install Yahoo toolbar and popup blocker in Internet Explorer the web browser unchecked. You can change these options as you see fit. Your default web browser launches and show me the read me file located in your Paint Shop Pro folder, which has important information that you can read through. Now we're presented with the launcher program here which allows us to make changes about whether and how long you'll be reminded to register the product. You can change that from a week to two weeks on out to a month. Choose to continue if you want to register now, or just launch the program. Alright, the program has launched, we get the default workspace which has all the menus and toolbars up at the top, the learning center, the main toolbar here with the organizer at the bottom. I'm going to close the program and you will have to close the setup program manually when you're done just like I'm going to now. You can see the icon on the desktop. Alright that completes this lesson. You should now be able to install Paint Shop Pro Photo XI.
