Welcome to this lesson which is about me, Robert Correll, I am the author of this tutorial and I'm just going to show you a little bit about me, probably learned a lot from me through the course of these lessons and my artwork. Now here's my webpage at RobertCorell.com and you can see I'm an author, photographer, artist. I conduct professional photo retouching and restoration. I am also an audio engineer, a musician; I play the guitar and bass. I am also a music producer; I went and studied music production and audio engineering at a school in Ohio and have been pursuing that really, intensely ever since as part of just the creative aspects of who I am. You can see my artwork that I have been posting lately and this might change by the time you visit my website, American Flag here. That was local, very, very huge flag near here and so forth. You can listen to some of my music and check out some of my projects and I put a little information here at the front page. Got a biography you can look at, email that you can contact me at. You can see some of my other VTC tutorials. Done things on Sonar, Paint Shop Pro, several on Paint Shop Pro, Sony Acid Pro, Photoshop Elements, done several, now several of these for the VTC and I've really enjoyed them. I do want to thank a bunch of people in this lesson. Thank my agent David Begat of LaunchBooks.com. Tim from VTC as well the editors there that have helped bring this project to light. I want to thank my wife and family and extended family for the support they've all given me and as I've created this but also just as I've been exploring the boundaries of my creativity and trying to build, build something out of this. So this is my webpage, I'm also a contributing author to the Paint Shop Pro Magazine by Imagine Publishing out of the UK, come visit their site, officialpspp.com look at it, give it a try, you know to encourage. I write like a pile of three, about three articles a month in here on different aspects of Paint Shop Pro and Photo Editing. I retouch a photo, do some tips and tricks and might either have a feature or some other aspect of using Paint Shop Pro. Here's Paint Shop Pro itself and I've got a bunch of my artwork, you can see just what interests me. Planes interest me. I love old War Planes, old or new, propeller or jet, I love airplanes. Here's a picture of my son Ben, got a family, family guy. I love just creative artwork. Here's a picture of a fire station, an old fire station here in town that I've converted using the Threshold adjustment here. Picture of lightening strike outside here, that's, took the camera out on the front porch, set it up on the tripod and when that hit it really did scare me because its really close and its huge so, I'm a photographer and there's a picture of a grasshopper that landed on the car and ran inside to get the camera, brought it outside and got a couple of good shots and then edited in Paint Shop Pro. I use Paint Shop Pro quite a bit. Photo of a sunset here, near here, went outside and by the end the mosquitoes ate me up but trying to get some really nice sunset pictures and I think I accomplished that. Here's some more family type pictures, two of my sons, Jacob and Benjamin and here's the third one, I've got three boys, that's Sam. One girl her name is Grace and there she is getting a haircut and you know I realize you may just really not care about this but I get to talk about who I am and about the author and I use Paint Shop Pro in the course of taking all of this photographs, editing them and I use them in my magazine work, I use them in other book forms, I use them just because I love doing it. I'm a big Paint Shop Pro fan, admittedly Corel doesn't always do things right and there's things about Paint Shop Pro that I don't like. Things about how they, you know, I won't even go into the details, but you know no program is perfect. But having said that, Paint Shop Pro for what it is, is excels at giving you power and at a reasonable price. So given the fact that nothing is perfect on any program whether it's a thousand dollar program or not I whole heartedly endorse you trying it out and seeing if you like it to. Alright I think I've basically covered everything I need to cover. I am all of that, you can visit my website, drop me a line, tell me how you're doing, tell me if you need anything help, tell me if you like the product and if you don't like it, don't tell me, OK? Alright, I think that I will wrap this lesson up with that thought and good luck in using Paint Shop Pro.
