Hi! My name is Vanina Mangano, your Virtual Training Company instructor. I'd like to take a moment to thank you for joining me on this journey through this Project Management course and also tell you a little bit more about myself and background. I've been very fortunate to have had a very diverse work history, which has led me down the consulting and training path. I teach courses regularly in all types of Project Management and Business Analysis related subjects. I primarily specialize in these two subjects as well as in Outsourcing which I've spent quite a bit of my career in. I come from a telecommunications and software background where I've had an opportunity of working in several global projects. Prior to entering into the world of training, I served as the Vice President of Business Development for BHNET Software Solutions, a software development outsourcing company with offices in the U.S. and Vietnam. As part of my own professional development, I accrued several credentials that have allowed me to validate my experience in areas of specialization. I'm certified in Project Management through CompTIA's Project Plus Certification and I'm also a current Project Management Professional, PMI Risk Management Professional and PMI Scheduling Professional. Aside from VTC courses, I also offer on-site and live virtual training through the PM Instructors, a technical training company that specializes in Project Management Exam Preparation. I've also authored several materials including the PMP Review Guide with Kim Heldman through Cybex and recently served as a Technical Editor for the Project+ Study Guide. I definitely say that business is one of my favorite hobbies and that Project Management has been embedded into every one of my roles. When I'm not consulting or training you'll catch me building something, so I'm somewhat of a cereal entrepreneur and have invested in several projects. I also enjoy volunteering every chance that I can. Over the past few years I've been involved with several non-profit business organizations. I mentored and coached other entrepreneurs through organizations such as WITI, Women In Technology International, where I served for two years as the local network director of the Los Angeles and Orange County Chapters and I've been involved in several PMI projects. The most recent project I'm working on through PMI is serving as a core committee member to update the latest edition of the PMBOK Guide which will be the 5th Edition. This is a two-year project and certainly an exciting one to be a part of.
