This is Mike Jang and its been my pleasure to create this course for you. A bit about my background, I've earned a number of Linux Certifications including the Ubuntu Certified Professional, The Red Hat Certified Engineer, Linux Professional Institute, levels 1 and 2 and yes CompTIA's Linux Plus. I'm also the author of a number of other Linux Titles including several associated with Linux Certification. My work for VTC includes courses for Ubuntu Certification, yes it's a certification associated with the Linux Professional Institute. The Red Hat Certified Technician and The Red Hat Certified Engineer. I've also created the VTC courses for Ubuntu Server and Fedora 11. Yeah, when I was changing careers years ago I started by studying for the Microsoft Certified System Engineer Exam and got it for the NT4 Series of exams. But while I was doing this I took a Linux course and have been sold on this open source operating system ever since. When you study this course, remember it's based on practical skills. So the best to study is to take the topics discussed and practice the associated commands again and again.
