The objectives for this course are fairly straightforward and really simple. First up. I want to help you learn about the Comp TIA A Plus Program. What it is, how it's divided, the tests that you'll need to take, and what those tests mean and so forth. Then I want to actually help you prepare for these exams. Now these exams are not necessarily tough, but that tends to depend on how much hands-on time you've had with PCs, and how much time you've spent with your hands inside the box. But, ah, I'll point you to how to prepare for these exams, take you through the basics, go over the objectives that they're looking for. So if you go through the entire course you will have hit those automatically. And you'll see there's a few things that I'll tell you that you'll just have to just out and out memorize. Some of the things you have to understand, but we'll hit all those clearly. I want you to understand PC basics when we finish this course: how the PC is put together, basically how it works, how the pieces and parts fit together. You'll also learn a fair amount of history of the PC, how the different components have matured and evolved over the years, and so forth. Then I want to provide you with some resources so that you can go out and learn more on your own. Ah, I've had people ask me before, ah, So how much more reading do you have to do? And, ah, honestly you'll be reading and learning ah, in this job, ah until the last day on the job. And I'm convinced the last day on the job in IT I will learn something that day that I could have used had I known two years earlier. So, it's just that way. It's a, it's an exciting career and it's a lot of cool stuff happening. And, then last of all, I want to help you get your career started. I'll give you some advice as we go through here, at least on how I did it anyway, and how a lot of people use the ah, A Plus Certification to help get their career jump-started in IT. So, a lot of things we're going to talk about here. These are the general objectives and we'll jump into these ah, coming up next. ]
