How about a few sample test questions on printers? And again, I'm hoping these are ah just ah kind of exemplary of the kinds of things you'll see on the A Plus exam. Okay, these are not ah, I didn't go sit the exam and then copy questions off and come put them on here; that would be ah, illegal, and it would be cheating you of the opportunity to learn, okay, so these are similar questions and what I'm trying to show you here is how to think through these and give you an example of what you need to know and to what level you need to understand it. So question number one: What is the correct order of the laser printing process? You could very well see a question very similar to this. Let's look at out choices. Develop, Clean, Write, Fuse, Charge, Transfer. Now, if you remember the ah little acronym that I showed you, Continuous Care Will Delay Trouble Forever, I'll show you how easy this becomes. Continuous care? That's not it. Continuous care will delay trouble forever, that's our correct one right there. Clean, Charge, Write, Develop, Transfer, and Fuse. Learn that acronym, ah, Continuous Care Will Delay Trouble Forever. You can make up your own if you would like, but just make sure you know that and that will become a gimme question on this exam. You want every gimme you can get. Next question: What kind of connection is used to connect the parallel cable to the printer? Now this is another one of those questions I've mentioned in a different sample question video that you may have to choose the best answer. It might not be the one you wanted, but ah, might just be the best one. So for A. 36-pin Centronics; B. 1510 serial; C. DVI; or D. none of the above. Well, let's go through them. Ah, 36-pin Centronics; that's on ah, one of the ends of the parallel cable that can ah be used to connect the printer, so let's hold on to that one. Fifteen-pin serial is probably a game port on the back of the PC, that's not it. DVI is a video connection, that's not it, and D, none of the above, Ah, I don't know. I think the 36-pin Centronics is the way to go on this one, and sure enough that's correct. So, again, just know your stuff and then throw out the things that you know aren't right and it'll, it'll at least whittle it down to a one in three, one in two ah, possibilities for you. Which printer type prints by actually striking the paper? A laser printer? Nope, it doesn't strike the paper. If you remember, the ah laser we're using static electricity to make it jump from the toner to the drum, then from the drum onto the paper. Inkjet? No. That's actually shot onto the paper. Dye sublimation? Ah, no. It's not actually, it's kind of laid on the paper. Dot matrix? This is where little bars actually strike the paper in a matrix to create the characters that we see and um, so, that is the answer here. So, again, just a quick sampling of what you're probably going to see, and kind of the style and feel of the questions you're going to experience on the exam.
